Solutions are termed as the homogeneous mixtures on the other hand suspensions or colloids are termed as the heterogeneous mixtures.

A homogeneous mixture is a mixture where the components that make up the mixture are uniformly distributed throughout the mixture. In a homogeneous mixture all the elements are joined to the point where it is difficult to distinguish one from the other. In this type of mixtures the components are uniformly distributed throughout the mixture. Difference between homogeneous and heterogeneous.

Homogeneous refers to the solution resulting from a completely uniform mixture of two or more elements. The composition of the mixture is the same throughout. Particle size is often at atomic or molecular level. Another important difference between homogeneous and heterogeneous mixtures is that atomic or molecular level particles are present in homogeneous mixtures while in heterogeneous mixtures particles are larger than the atomic or the molecular level.

They have no visible boundaries of separation between the constituents. In this mixture the composition is not uniformly throughout the mixture. A mixture of alcohol and water. The composition of the mixture is the same throughout examples air salt sugar etc.

It can t be separated out physically. The components of homogeneous mixtures are not physically distinct. Visibility of particles. They have uniform compositions.

They have non uniform compositions. Heterogenous mixtures have large particle sizes. A homogeneous mixture is a mixture in which the components that make up the mixture are uniformly distributed throughout the mixture. Components can be separated easily.

The homogeneous mixture is only in the one phase of matter whereas heterogeneous mixture is always in two or more than two different phases of matter. On the other hand a heterogeneous mixture is a mixture where the components of the mixture. It can be separated out physically homo means the same hetero means different. It has only one phase.

On the other hand a heterogeneous mixture comprises two or more substances that can be distinctly observed and even separated relatively easily. They have no visible boundaries of separation between the constituents. Individual substances that constitute a homogeneous mixture cannot be visually differentiated. The components of the mixture are not visible to the naked eye but visible through the microscope.

RELATED ARTICLE :

There are two or more phases. It has a uniform composition. A homogeneous mixture has a uniform composition and appearance.
