The muntjac is mostly found in tropical zones of southern asia but has been introduced into temperate areas.
For the most part they are quiet and lay in the grass or shrubs. They are also found in the lower himalayas and some what in japan. They are now moving into the netherlands scotland and ireland. The are native to southeast asia india sri lanka southern china taiwan japan and have now been introduced into england.
Well these hunters would not like to hunt the leaf deer since i think it would be tough to find a trophy buck. Muntjacs are thought to have begun appearing 15 35 million years ago with remains found in miocene deposits in france germany and poland. Currently the muntjac live in nepal india sumatra borneo taiwan china java and they have also been introduced to south england.
