What Is The Difference Between Physical And Chemical Change
Camila Farah
A chemical change is a change in which the atom configuration of a substance completely changes and a new product substance is formed.
Physical change a process in which a substance changes its state of matter but chemical bonds stay intact. In physical substance the chemical composition remains the same whereas in chemical change the chemical composition is changed. Physical change refers to a change in which the molecules are rearranged but their internal composition remains same. Examples of physical changes are boiling melting freezing and shredding.
A chemical change results from a chemical reaction while a physical change is when matter changes forms but not chemical identity. Chemical change is a process in which the substance transforms into a new substance having different chemical composition. However a physical change rearranges molecules and does not produce a new substance. These changes can cause a substance to change its form or to change into a completely different substance.
A physical change is a change in which the molecules of a substance are re arranged while their real composition remains unaltered. Key differences between physical and chemical change in a physical change no new substance is formed whereas in chemical change a new substance is formed. Chemical change a process in which chemical bonds are broken or created to make a new substance. Often physical changes can be undone if energy is input.

Difference between physical and chemical change is that physical change is a type of change in which the form of matter is altered but one substance is not transformed into another while chemical change is a process in which one or more substances are altered into one or more new and different substances. A substance can undergo physical and chemical changes. When matter undergoes a chemical change it can t return to its original state without additional reactions. Thus it can be understood that the primary difference between physical and chemical changes is that physical changes are reversible whereas chemical changes are usually not.
