On the other hand passive trasport moves biochemicals from areas of high concentration to areas of low concentration.

In active transport the molecules move against the concentration gradient whereas in passive transport the molecules move along the concentration gradient. The basic difference between both kinds of transport is that active transport requires chemical energy to complete its biochemical transport as it have to move the molecules from lower concentration towards the high concentration which is against the natural law of transportation and it thus requires energy for this purpose whereas passive transport is the transport system which does not require any energy or external force as it is a moment of biochemical from higher. So it does not require energy. The materials which are transported in active transport are proteins carbohydrate sugars lipids large cells etc and that in passive transport are oxygen monosaccharides water carbon dioxide lipids etc.

Active transport requires chemical energy because it is the movement of biochemicals from areas of lower concentration to areas of higher concentration. Active and passive transport are two important biological transport processes that help to move substances such as nutrients oxygen water and other macromolecules within the cell along with the elimination of waste products using different and contrasting mechanisms. The key difference between active transport and passive transport is that the active transport moves molecules from low concentration to high concentration against the concentration gradient via a semi permeable membrane while passive transport moves molecules along the concentration gradient from high concentration to low concentration. 1 active transport makes use of energy in the form of atp whereas passive transport does not utilize any.

How is active transport different from passive transport. In brief active and passive transport differ because. 2 active transport involves the transfer of molecules or ions against a concentration gradient whereas passive transport is the transfer along a concentration gradient. Active transport is the rapid and unidirectional process but passive transport is the slow and bidirectional process.

Active transport involves going against the flow while passive transport goes along it. On the other hand passive transport moves biochemicals from areas of high concentration to areas of low concentration. Active transport requires chemical energy because it is the movement of biochemicals from areas of lower concentration to areas of higher concentration. So it does not require energy.
