An accurate common definition describes grace as the unmerited favor of god toward man.
The word grace in biblical parlance can like forgiveness repentance regeneration and salvation mean something as broad as describing the whole of god s activity toward man or as narrow as describing one segment of that activity. Grace is the love of god shown to the unlovely. It is most clearly expressed in the promises of god revealed in scripture and embodied in jesus christ. Grace is closely related to god s benevolence love and mercy.
Grace is divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration rebirth or sanctification. Grace means something is offered law means that something is demanded. Grace is a participation in the life of god which is poured unearned into human beings whom it heals of sin and sanctifies. Grace can be variously defined as god s favor toward the unworthy or god s benevolence on the undeserving in his grace god is willing to forgive us and bless us abundantly in spite of the fact that we don t deserve to be treated so well or dealt with so generously.
A state of sanctification enjoyed through divine favor. The means by which god grants grace are many. They include the entirety of revealed truth the sacraments and the hierarchical ministry. A virtue coming from god.
