What Happens When You Put Diesel In A Gas Car
Olivia Luz
Diesel in gas engine causes accidents however diesel is heavier and oilier than the gasoline so when you pour the gas engine with diesel the injectors feed the engine with loads of diesel as it sank inside the engine.
Diesel engines compress the liquid fuel until it is heated to the required temperature and pressure for the diesel to self ignite. When diesel fuel does end up in a gasoline tank the car will run for a few miles or so until all the gasoline that s still in the fuel line gets used up. Gasoline engines cannot combust diesel fuel so the car would stop running. At that point the engine will shut down boom.
With gasoline the performance is measured in octanes. Accidentally putting diesel into a car that runs on gasoline doesn t happen that often but when it does it can do a lot of damage to your vehicle and your wallet. Gasoline engines have spark plugs to start and ignite the gasoline vapor.
