What Force Keeps The Planets In Orbit Around The Sun
Camila Farah
One of the forces is gravity.
Gravitation holds together the hot gases that make up the sun and it keeps the planets in their orbits around the sun. Gravity not only pulls on mass but also on light. Another term for gravitation is the force of gravity. Gravity is what holds the planets in orbit around the sun and what keeps the moon in orbit around earth.
There are two major forces that keep these in orbit. The force between each planet and the sun keeps the planets in orbit around the sun. It doesn t really matter all the forces remain the same. Gravity is the force that holds a planet in orbit around the sun.
The force that keeps planets in orbit around the sun is weight which is equal to the acceleration between the two bodies multiplied by the mass of the body. While each planet has its own gravity based on the size of the planet and the speed at which it travels orbit is based on the gravity of the sun. Or that could be our planet earth going around the sun. Gravity is the primary force that controls the orbit of the planets around the sun.
