What Does It Mean When A Cat Flicks Its Tail
Olivia Luz
Cats flick their tails idly when they re in fact idling.
It is a sign that they are on the offensive or defensive. An idle cat s tail indicated a passing interest. Puffed or fluffy tail. The more puffed up the tail is positioned or straight out is usually a sign of how far they are into the aggressive stage.
The low flick tail wagging will be displayed as a quick back and forth action. If the cat is stoked this stimulation may escalate to one of the tail flicks described earlier. Some people think this flicking is a reaction to something in a dream. It can also continue as a sign of rest and contentment even in sleep.
If you notice this cat tail swishing give them space as this means that they re unhappy and want to be left alone. This type of flicking can also happen when the cat is sleeping leading some to believe that it is a reaction to something that is happening in a dream. You ll probably see this cat tail language when they re put in a situation they re not pleased about such as going to the vets.
