What Does Heaven Look Like According To The Bible

A few sunday school lessons sermon opening jokes and a ray boltz song got the idea in my head that heaven was a place with streets of gold.

We can begin to imagine what heaven looks like by reading the bible. Heaven is an actual place and is described as the beautiful dwelling place of those who have trusted jesus christ as their savior. In this video i talk about what heaven will be like according to the bible. The scriptures make clear that there is no one who is good enough for heaven romans 3 11 12.

The bible says that saints have been perfected in heaven hebrews 12 23 so if they able to see they will no longer view the world through old imperfect lenses. In matthew 6 19 21 heaven is described as a place where neither moth nor rust destroys your treasures and there will be no thieves. The bible does say that we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses i e those who have already entered heaven but it isn t clear if this means they are able to observe our lives. When i asked about what heaven was like i was directed to the last two chapters of revelation.

As a kid it sounded like a boring place endless choir practice but it sure beat the alternative. What will heaven be like and what will we do for all eternity. Heaven is where good people will spend eternity. In the bible the word heaven occurs 276 times in the new testament alone.
